SBA loans

SBA financing, matched to the lender that actually funds your deal.

The SBA does not lend — banks and non-bank lenders do, under a partial guaranty and their own overlays. Most declines are overlay declines, which is why lender selection matters as much as your file. We prepare the package and route it to lenders that fund your industry, size and use of funds.

Most SBA declines are avoidable, and most happen for the same three reasons.

Wrong lender, right borrower

You applied where your neighbor banks, not where your industry and loan size get funded. The decline had nothing to do with your business.

Coverage falls short

Debt service coverage below 1.15 kills more SBA files than credit does. It is measurable in advance and often fixable with a different structure or price.

The injection isn't sourced

Ten percent down has to be documented and seasoned. Discovering that at week eight of a ninety-day process costs you the deal.

Programs

The SBA programs worth your time.

SBA 7(a)

The flagship program. Working capital, equipment, owner-occupied real estate, eligible debt refinance, partner buyouts and business acquisition — all under one structure.

  • Up to $5,000,000
  • 10-year terms on working capital, 25 on real estate
  • Variable rates tied to prime plus a capped spread
  • Personal guaranty from every 20%+ owner

SBA Express

A faster path with a smaller guaranty. Can be structured as a term loan or a revolving line, and approved in-house by the lender.

  • Up to $500,000
  • Decisions in days, funding in 2–4 weeks
  • Revolving line option for working capital
  • Ideal for established businesses needing speed

SBA microloan

Delivered through nonprofit intermediaries, with the most flexible credit standards in the SBA system. Frequently the right first loan for a new business.

  • Up to $50,000
  • Open to startups with a plan and projections
  • More flexible on credit history
  • Often paired with free technical assistance

Acquisition & franchise financing

Buy an existing business or a franchise unit with roughly 10 percent down over a ten-year term — leverage no conventional lender will match on goodwill.

  • Seller note on standby can count toward injection
  • Requires 1.25+ debt service coverage post-close
  • Franchise brand must appear in the SBA directory
  • Valuation required above $250,000 with goodwill

SBA lender match, done properly

Owners search for SBA 7a loan requirements, SBA working capital loan program, SBA Express loan for startup, SBA line of credit for small business and best SBA lenders for small business. Underneath all of it sits one question: which lender will actually say yes to this file?

We answer it by profiling the deal first — industry NAICS code, loan size, use of funds, collateral position, coverage ratio and borrower experience — and matching that against lenders whose current appetite fits. A Preferred Lender that writes your deal type weekly will approve faster and on better terms than a generalist bank that writes two a year.

If the file is not ready, we say so and give you the fix list: current interim financials, seasoned injection funds, revolving balances paid down, federal delinquency resolved in writing. Sixty days of preparation regularly turns a decline into an approval, and it costs far less than a rejection on your record.

Comparing bank business loan requirements or a credit union business loan for small business against SBA terms is also worth doing. When conventional financing is available on reasonable terms, it is often cheaper and faster — and SBA rules require that path be considered first.

How it works

Three steps. No application until it's worth filing.

Most funding sites push you into a form and sell the lead. We start with a conversation, because the right product depends on facts a form can't capture.

  1. 01

    Funding readiness consultation

    15–20 minutes, by phone

An advisor reviews your revenue, credit position, existing debt and timeline. No documents, no application, no hard credit pull. You leave the call knowing which products you actually qualify for today.

  2. 02

    Your funding strategy

    Same or next business day

We build a written plan: the specific programs to pursue, in what order, the realistic amount and cost of each, and what to fix first if a stronger approval is 30 days away.

  3. 03

    Placement and close

24 hours to 90 days by product

We package your file, submit to the right lenders rather than every lender, negotiate terms, and stay on the file through funding. You get one point of contact, not a call center.

Questions

Straight answers before you call

You must operate for profit in the U.S., meet SBA size standards, be an eligible business type, show a sound business purpose, and have no delinquency on federal debt. Lenders then add their own overlays: typically 680+ personal FICO from every 20 percent owner, debt service coverage of 1.15 to 1.25 or better, and an equity injection of about 10 percent on acquisitions and startups.
